Earth is so beautiful, and has everything we need
But we still have a problem, a problem with the greed
Some people have so much, and still, they want more
They so lust after money; they take it from the poor
You’d think that those in charge, would run things as they should
But I can’t think of one thing, where they’ve done any good
They promise us the world, their governance will bring
But in the end, we see, they’re only interested in one thing
Havin' it off, havin’ it off, havin’ it off so large
Making lots of money, while we’re all in charge
Stoking the pot, taking a lot, taking it from the poor
We wouldn’t say we’re heartless, but we still want more
Havin’ it off, havin’ it off, havin’ it off so big
Taking all the wonga, behaving like a pig
Loving the stuff, never enough, that’s what it’s all about
We don’t really care, if others go without
Things must be bad, when people can’t afford to eat
Winters of even more hardship, in homes they can’t afford to heat
The constant stress of money worries, dominates your life (and mind)
Adds to all your troubles, and adds to all the strife
See what greed achieves, as services go down hill
And see the rising crime, a symptom of society’s ill
The stress will break up families, cause damage to our young
But the only thing that matters to you, is the size of your bung
Havin’ it off, havin’ it off, havin’ it off so large
Making lots of money, while we’re all in charge
Stoking the pot, taking a lot, taking it from the poor
We wouldn’t say we’re heartless, but we still want more
Havin’ it off, havin’ it off, havin’ it off so big
Taking all the wonga, behaving like a pig
Loving the stuff, never enough, that’s what it’s all about
We don’t really care, if others go without
