END OF THE ROAD

Time, passes by, you wonder how, you wonder why
The years, fade day by day, so gradually life ebbs away
So, what’s it all about? It’s somewhat hard to work it out
Before you know, it’s all gone, it’s the end of the road you’ve come upon

You wonder if there’s anything beyond
It would be so nice if life did carry on
You’d like to believe that there’s life after death
Your spirit goes on living when you’ve taken your last breath

Life, can be so much fun, but it all (so) depends on everyone
We can have our paradise, but only if everyone is nice
Life, has so much to give, there is so much for which to live
Some things in life are sincere, we’d like to hold on to all that’s dear

They talk about God, but religion is a mess
It’s so out of tune, it just doesn’t impress
It can’t all be right, so what can you believe?
So many different opinions, it’s so hard to conceive

To be a part of such a place, we would have to show a little grace
A place where all are friends, and everyone can make amends
Just show a little charm, we can’t have those who do us harm
But if we’re kind in heart, then we’ll be welcome to be a part

We like to love and to live within the light
There’s no room for violence and those who want to fight
We don’t want the hatred and those who can’t get on
There’s no room for injustice, or for those who do us wrong
