TOMORROW'S CHILD

Spare a thought for tomorrow's child, he's waiting to be born
His memories a blank cassette, ready to record
All he hears and all he sees will influence his mind
The qualities that he will bear are those that he will find

Baby pure and innocent, untouched by humankind
No prejudice, no bitterness, a pure and simple mind
He could turn out a superman, he could know only good
He could excel at everything, such like we never could

Wait for the tears, little baby won't you cry
It's a crazy, crazy mixed up world, you'll see outside

To give our children half a chance we have to beat the bomb
Pollution rules and we're the fools that let this all go on
And you and I can see a time, not so far away
When the human race outgrows its pace and blows it all away

Wait for the tears, little baby won't you cry
It's a crazy, crazy mixed up world, you'll see outside

Wait for the tears, little baby won't you cry
When you look, look around the world, you'll see outside

Wait for the tears, little baby won't you cry
When you see the world, the world your fathers left behind
