TOUCH

Long time ago, life crawled onto land
Began the road to what we know as man
And set the way for us to understand
To live and learn as and when we can

And some would say there is no God up above
Cos he don't show himself to them
And some would say there is no point in this world
For you can't change all this mayhem
And some would say that this is dog, dog eat dog
Don't even help your fellow men
And some would say there are no problems in the world
Cos they have all they need to spend

Are we sure, do we know? Is there God, will he show?

I have a boy that has been growing up
He's had to learn to drink out of a cup
On T.I.T. he was weaned as a child
Now in his teens he is a little wild

And some would say that I should box his ears
For his mistakes are others tears
And some would say I should come down on him so hard
For all the wrong over the years
And some would stand so fair and criticise my hand
If I sit back and let him learn
And some would say the way he's heading right now
Is gonna mean that he will burn

Are we sure, do we know? Is there God, will he show?

Ins...

I would like to try the gentle touch
To get this child to understand
And I would like to say I love him very much
And if he needs I will lend a hand

But can you do for your own little boy
What he won't do towards himself?
Can you get him not to play with that toy
Cos it's bad, bad for his health?
Or do you have to let him go his own way
Even if he makes mistakes
All you can do is advise him how to play
But he must choose the moves he makes

Are we sure, do we know? Is there God, will he show?
Are we sure, do we know? Is there God, will he show?
Are we sure, do we know? Is there God, will he show?
