You can’t do this and you can’t do that, I don’t believe in all that tat
They say it is the word of God, but no, it’s just some silly bod
Who wants to make the rules, for simple-minded fools
Taking us all in, and causing us to sin
Dividing up the world, with the different things they say
Causing us these problems, by imposing their own way

This is not God, this is not right, the things that we’ve been told are not the light
This is not truth, it is not real, the things that they say are not deal

Some men like to manipulate, some men like to exaggerate
Some men want to have control, and some men want to boss your soul
Use God as an excuse, to peddle their abuse
They say it is God’s way, cos they want you to obey
But this is just a lie, to get you to comply
They’re out to deceive, cos they want you to believe

This is not God, it’s not his word, it’s just the nonsense that you’ve heard
It is not just, it is not true, the things that they try and make you do

So God is disappointed, with the things people say in his name
It is so disjointed, they should hang their heads in shame
Spreading the confusion, cos they don’t know what they say
All of this illusion, is not God’s own way

If we want to make amends, everything on Earth depends
Are we willing to admit, we’re getting fed far too much shit
By simple-minded fools, imposing their own rules
Taking us all in, with their own corrupted spin
Dividing up the world, with all the things they say
Causing us these problems, cos they just want their own way

This is not God, this is not right, the things that we’ve been told are not the light

So God, says unto man, you can have who and what you like in life
Be nice, if you can, and don’t cause others strife
Life is to enjoy, and we want you to have fun
Do just what you like, as long as you don’t hurt anyone

Don’t be cruel, or be unkind, deal with the mean thoughts that are in your mind
Live and let live, life to the full, care for this world, cos you have all
Don’t aggress and don’t repress, don’t bully people, cos that is a crime
Leave a smile on people’s faces, and not a trail of victims down the line
It is that simple, it is that plain, so stop the nonsense, it’s inane
Don’t lead the people far astray, by telling them this nonsense is God’s way
