ANY FOOL

And so man has learned to kill, to shoot others at will
But any fool can pull a trigger, and any fool can figure
How to bring you ill

And so man has learned to steal, to stitch you up on a deal
But any fool can go behind your back, surprise attack
And any fool can be a heel

And any fool can be a fool, and any fool can break a rule
And fool can think it's cool, and he'll still be any fool

And so man has turned to greed, he hogs what others need
Until he leaves his brother starving, while he is laughing
Enjoying his feed

And so man has learned to lie, he's learned to act on the sly
But any fool can be dishonest, or break a promise
And leave you high and dry

But will the fool learn to care, and will the fool learn to share?
Cos these things are more difficult it seems, for any fool are they just pipe dreams?
Or are we asking too much of him, is the fool just a little too dim?
And will he always think it's cool, to forever be the fool?

So man has turned to crime, to buy himself a good time
But any fool can think it's clever, to hurt others for pleasure
And live amongst the slime

So man has learned to pretend, and make out to be your friend
But any fool can break his word, turn out to be a turd
Be a fraud in the end

So can the fool learn to be straight, and can the fool learn be great?
Can he learn to do the decent thing, can the fool evolve to be the king?
Or will always be a fool, if he chooses to be cruel
If he causes other people offence, if he lives his life at others' expense!
If he does these things in life, if he causes people strife
And if he still thinks it is cool, he will always be the fool
