The Old Community Centre

There are many examples of restricted vision, where people are expected to use their common sense, all over the Bexley Borough. Here's another example, a very high fence that Bexley Council actually erected themselves. This time, not in a quiet dead-end back street, like ours, but on a busy main road. The central artery running right through the heart of Slade Green. Such blatant hypocrisy! You couldn't make it up! Well, we don't have to! As usual, the evidence is right there!

Bexley Council's fence. Alright for some!

Busy Main Artery! Unlike Plantation Road, a quiet little no-through road with hardly any traffic or pedestrian footfall, Bridge Road is a very busy main road and major bus route, running right through the heart of Slade Green. It also has significantly high pedestrian footfall, as it is the pedestrian route from railway station to these parts of Slade Green, including the new Rainbow Road estate (which Bexley Council built all over our lovely playing field and flood plain). This main road also serves the remaining schools (infant and primary), back around the corner.
